The Los Angeles area features a whole host of well-known tourist destinations. Disneyland, Universal Studios, Dodgers Stadium, LAX, Venice Beach, Malibu, Hollywood, Beverly Hills, and the Queen Mary are a few favorites. However, the list would not be complete unless it included the new Getty Center. This art museum sits on the hills north of Santa Monica. The Richard Meier design features many dramatic buildings and a spectacular fountain garden. |

1n 2003 the Walt Disney Concert Hall was completed. This odd Frank Gehry structure is right in the city center.

Downtown Los Angeles features the Staples Center where the Lakers put on their show. The Center is adjacent to the Civic center, where we attended the Electronic Entertainment Expo, or E3 in 2002.

Santa Monica is a fine little urban beach community sandwiched between the Palisades and Malibu to the north and LAX and Venice Beach to the South. Christopher haunts this area day and night (more often night). Local watering holes make excellent locals for revelry!

Of course, no account of Los Angeles is complete without mentioning Hollywood. Jake and Megan went to a cemetery movie screening there.
