After much discussion regarding the best possible place to ring in the year 2000, we opted for a location that none of us had visited: Southern Spain.  We envisioned bullfights, brazen women, and bold flamenco in a semi-urban setting that would offer all the amenities a New Year's reveler would need with a slightly cozier feel than the big metropolises.  With that in mind we established a basic itinerary: hit the trinity of Christian-Moorish bastions in the south - Granada, Córdoba, and Seville.  We completed the cluster with a couple of sidebars to round out the experience.  Quick visits to Marbella, Monda, Ronda, Jaén, and Madrid (just for an evening) were incorporated.  So there we were in southern Spain,  trekking around Andalucia for a bit over a week.  Check it out.
