WASHINGTON

College Years

I wish we had better pictures of city considering that I went to school there and that we've been back several times since.  But we don't, so here's a view of the skyline looking toward the city and looking toward Queen Anne.

A View of the Queen Anne Area Looking Back at the City

La Conner is a very small town with a marina and some tourist shops.  (You could easily take it all in during a long pit stop.)  Being on the water is nice.  And in the spring, the tulip fields in the Skagit Valley are truly impressive.

At the Marina Preparing a Voyage Beer with Friends Concert Fun

The Gorge Amphitheater at George, Washington is an idyllic spot to rock out to your favorite band and drink beer in the sun.  Here I am with friends getting ready for the Page/Plant Concert in spring of 1995.

Note to reader: this was my fourth concert in four days.  I had already damaged brain cells attending three Grateful Dead concerts in a row in Seattle.  Mind you, I quit my job a couple of weeks before my college graduation just to be able to go on this hedonistic musical binge.
